My Name Chef & Liv at Manzé
11th August 2024
5:30 - 10:30pm
Collaborated with Ronen (My Name Chef) to design and execute a sold-out event at
Manzé, featuring a four-course meal, two DJs, and a visual artist. Managed menu creation,
event logistics, staffing, budgeting, and the exhibition catalog. The success of this event,
with 50 tickets sold across two sittings, led to it becoming an ongoing feature, receiving
highly positive feedback.

Artform
24th of October 2022
6pm - 8:30pm
Manzé, North Melbourne
Artform took place at Manzé, a Mauritian restaurant in North Melbourne. To enhance the evening, I prepared a lamb curry inspired by my Mauritian friends and family. The exhibition featured photography and writing by artist Luce Nguyễn-Hunt, titled I’m Half, as well as a video work by South African filmmaker Jabu Nadia Newman, titled Inside Out.

Untitled Mauritian Dinner
5th of October 2022
7pm - 10pm
Mont Albert, Melbourne
We commenced the exhibition by my father delivering an Acknowledgement of Country in Mauritian Creole, followed by English the translation myself. Then, I presented my curatorial statement. We encouraged guests to enjoy themselves, inspired by projects like Flatbread Society (2010 - continued), Rirkrit Tiravanija’s pad thai (1990), and the Chinese Apartment art movement. We spent hours cooking together beforehand to serve buffet-style from our kitchen bench.

“Love and Kisses,”
18th September 2022
Flippys, Brunswick
5pm - 9pm
The "Love and Kisses" exhibition achieved several goals: it challenged event-exhibition boundaries, reimagined the traditional 'white cube', integrated my practice's frameworks, and celebrated Mauritius and Rodrigues. Attendees experienced a holistic exhibition, engaging in music, movement, written work and cuisine curated to embody the event's essence.
